TEDI JEAN & THE ARCHIVES
A decade of weddings, first with Picture and Poet and now solo as Tedi Jean. Real people, real days, real shit.
THE APPROACH
After a decade of weddings, I've learned the best moments happen when people forget the camera is there. So I show up as a friend first and a photographer second. These days my films look a little different: shot on camcorders, more low-key and less produced, paired with 35mm and digital stills. But the goal in the edit is the same as ever. A short film even a stranger could connect with, and the one that brings the couple back to that feeling ten years from now.
An architect and a menswear designer turned the forest into a runway, with hand-sewn trains, a catwalk ceremony, and a Chinese tea ceremony. I photographed the day. Featured on Green Wedding Shoes.
A first look at a lookout over the lake, planned down to the minute by a bride who plans events for a living. 35mm, digital, and a camcorder film.
"Even when a couple does everything right, there are still 100 decisions to be made on the fly. That's not a complaint. That's genuinely what I love about it."
35°, a limo with no AC, a dead camera, and a second room flipped into an after-party with a live band. They're the OG reason I started making camcorder films: incredible hosts, not publicly sentimental, who wanted the day captured honestly instead of formally. 35mm, digital, and a camcorder film.
A colour-soaked museum wedding. I photographed the day and edited the film.
Mountains, ocean, and a yacht for a reception backdrop. I photographed the day and edited the film.
Tucked into the trees with a warm fall palette and a whole weekend of activities. I photographed the day and edited the film.
PERSONA CAMPAIGN
Two buyer personas, two worlds, one modular content library built to keep Goodland's ads fresh all season.
THE IDEA
Cassandra, the design-minded professional, got a surrealist model-house garden. Amir, the high-net-worth homeowner, got an old-money driveway and a 1976 Mercedes. Every shoot ran in two halves, editorial first and functional demos second, so one day on set could feed months of ads, web and social.

PRODUCT EXPERT SERIES
A long-form YouTube format where Goodland's designer explains the why behind the products. Less host energy, more craftsperson behind the scenes.
THE IDEA
Goodland needed a repeatable way to explain its design decisions, not just show products. We built a format around the designer as a calm, knowledgeable guide: one idea per episode, hands-on demos, minimal marketing language. Everything was shot in landscape with room to crop to vertical and square, so each episode could feed YouTube, shorts, reels, product pages and ads. Episode 1 breaks down why garden hoses fail and how to choose one that lasts. Episode 2 walks through how the soaking tubs came together.

THE SET
A permanent set in Goodland's old Pender office, designed to feel approachable yet refined. A fixed set meant faster planning and a look viewers would recognize every episode. Goodland has since moved to a new space, so Episode 3, now in the scripting phase, will debut a brand new set. Keep your eyes peeled for what's next.

EVERLASTING GARDEN HOSE REVEAL
The Everlasting Garden Hose, displayed like a museum piece, then put to real work. Seven reveal films shot on a working farm, built to stop the scroll.
THE IDEA
A pristine product, presented like it belongs in a museum, dropped into a real, lived-in world. Every vignette opens as a clean studio shot on a plinth. Then the backdrop is pulled away to reveal a barn, a pasture, a pond or a horse wandering through frame. The contrast is the hook, and it carries the line: engineered to handle real work, designed to look good doing it.
THE PROCESS
It started as a team brainstorm to move past persona-led shoots. Once "Life of a Garden Hose" was chosen as the creative direction, I developed five creative territories and presented them for review. When On Display was approved, I wrote the production brief: content plan, moodboard, location, schedule, budget, props, styling and shot lists. With three working days between getting back to the office and the only workable shoot date, I locked the farm location and videographer, prepped plinths and props, and ran the day as producer and photographer, then edited the photo and video myself.

RICHARDSON
As Content Lead at Richardson International, a multi-billion dollar agribusiness, I owned every piece of content the company made, internal and external, across Richardson and its Richardson Pioneer division.
"Tedi is a rare talent. She is a strategist who can both envision and execute and a leader who raises the motivation and performance of those around her."

THE ROLE
I ran every project from start to finish. When a department came to us with an ask, like a video for supplier appreciation, I wrote the brief, managed the budget, ran the meetings, scripted, storyboarded and got sign-off. Then I produced it with our videographer, animator, writer and designers, brought in outside photo and video partners when we needed them, and stayed on through the edit. That covered social, internal event videos, CEO messages, promo videos for Richardson Pioneer programs, and HR campaign photography.
ON THE ROAD
RICHARDSON REWARDS
A promo series built to show farmers the value of the Richardson Rewards program. Made to be watched in bite-size pieces.

SIGHTS & SOUNDS
LOCATION TOURS
I travelled to Richardson sites across North America. I shot stills while our videographer shot video, gathered the story on site, then wrote and cut these social edits.
YORKTON CANOLA CRUSH
A short and a long piece on the world's largest canola crush plant. We couldn't travel for it, so I directed the interviews remotely through an on-site team with no video background, then cut them with our videographer's footage and brought in an animator to package it.

A TRUE PARTNERSHIP
Made for a partner event to show how investment in Richardson Pioneer shows up in the community, not just the balance sheet.
